• Hopeless outlook
Major depression is a mood disorder that affects your mood and feelings.
You start losing confidence, motivation, and become hopeless for almost everything in your life. It can also cause feelings of worthlessness, guilt, self-doubt, and self-hatred.
• Increased fatigue and sleep problems
Depression can make you feel tired and fatigued. You lack energy and start losing interest in everything. It can also affect your sleep cycle. It could lead to excessive sleep or no sleep, causing insomnia which may lead to anxiety.
• Uncontrollable emotions
There will be times when you experience sudden mood swings. You would be happy at one moment and crying at the other. The sudden outburst of anger or a melancholic mood, if you experience these changes in your emotions more often, then this can be a sign of depression.
• Changes in appetite and weight
Your appetite and weight can fluctuate with depression. Either you have an increased appetite or no appetite at all. It eventually results in gaining or losing weight.
